waterBOB Emergency Drinking Water Storage Reviews
60 of 62 people found the following review helpful Great product but much cheaper online, By The Chief (VA, United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: waterBOB Emergency Drinking Water Storage This is a great product. Based on research, it has all the bells and whistles and better materials then competitive products. If you go to the manufacturers web site, you can watch a video of the installation, use, and drainage of the product. Also, it has a well laid out FAQ section.Something to consider, These types of bladders are single use. If you fill up the bladder and then don't end up using it, you can either slit the side with a knife or use the included pump to start a siphon effect into the tub drain and it will drain itself within about 60 minutes. As I write this the company has not released refill kits but I hear they are working on that. Please look online for better prices ~$20 each plus shipping ~$5 Enjoy! 31 of 31 people found the following review helpful Awesome product, but how long does these things last?, By Menehune (Honolulu, HI) - See all my reviews This review is from: waterBOB Emergency Drinking Water Storage I bought several Waterbob directly from the WaterBob website and gave them out to all of my family members which is a great tool for storing water in case of emergencies where tap water would be subject to contamination or lack of distribution due to no electricity (for water pumps). It's clean and more convenient in a waterbob 'bladder' than the surface of a bathtub especially for drinking. Highly recommend it for any coastal areas subject to multiple of severe hurricane strikes... especially for island areas where evacuation to other states is not easily done with massive cost. It's for one use only, so it's best to fill it just before a strike occurs. The question I have is if an emergency doesn't occur within 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 years, will the Waterbob hold up while being in storage? No way to test it each year like other items in the emergency kit. Other than that, it's a great emergency tool. 29 of 29 people found the following review helpful Nice addition to my hurricane prep., Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: waterBOB Emergency Drinking Water Storage The WaterBOB arrived ahead of schedule. I'd seen a similiar item on a disaster preparedness website (AlphaRubicon) and was very happy to find one online for a decent price. As a Sheriff Deputy in South Louisiana disaster preparedness is no joke. The plastic is food grade and is thick and durable (plenty tough enough for sitting in your bathtub). The pump is not going to wow any one, but it will get the job done. Those of you who are worried about light and the water getting skunky (my small bathroom has no windows so not a concern of mine) throw a blanket (tarp, shower curtain...whatever) over the tub. |
